Spring!

It's the 1st of March!
I am happy for many reasons:
a) It might still be freezing cold, but Spring has started, at least in the calendar, hence the blooming almond tree (stolen photo from the web hehe)
b) In The Attic Season 2 starts tonight!!!! I am so happy that everytime I think about it my heart beats fast! I can't wait for 7 o'clock. All telephones will be switched off! And I will be at BallerinaGurl's chat room, I'll be happy to chat with all of you.
c) I have a few days off, which I'm going to enjoy with eating and shopping! Plus, preparing the house for my mom who comes to stay for two months very very soon...
d) It's Roger Daltrey's birthday today! Happy Birthday Roger! Love you to bits! (yeah, like he is ever going to read this, LOL)

I know I haven't been around here since forever, but it's been two hectic weeks. My work schedule has changed and even if I finish work at 5:30, I am not home before 8pm. The other days I finish work at 7:30 and I'm home at 9:30pm - I live further out of London and it takes me 1:30-2 hours to get home... So when I get home all I want to do is eat and sleep.

Also, I had to say goodbye to my flatmate, Angela, this week. She stayed here for nearly a year (50 weeks to be precise) and I'm going to miss her. So during the weekend I had to help her move out and concentrate on the preparations for my mom's arrival e.g.: painting the room, fixing my "hilly floor" and organizing everything.

I still haven't bought any tickets for The Who. I was thinking of going to Leeds, since I know the town from when I was a student there, it should be lovely to go again, plus seeing my boys in the gorgeous Harewood House (pictured right) would be fantastic. There is a but though, I am not sure I can take three days off from work. I'll have to organize it...
I am hoping I can make it, but for me, ideally, it would be great to see them couple of times in London... Also, I am hoping to make it to a New York concert and/or L.A. I am hoping their gigs coincide with my autumn break. Oh, a girl can dream...

I will visit all my blogger friends' blogs little by little. I haven't commented in Rachel's blog either... oooooh, shame! I feel terrible, but now that I have a few days off I'll make up for it :o)

See you all at 7pm, at BG's chatroom and In The Attic!!!

Yay Marietta!

Welcome back!

I missed the chat, as you probably noticed...
Had to work.

It will be so nice for you to have your Mum come to visit!
I live far from family & I love it when I get to see them.
This summer I'm going to Montreal with my 2 younger kids to visit my folks.
You are lucky.
Just listen to yourself talking about trying to decide how many times & where you are going to see The Who!
LOL
I'll be lucky if they play closer than within 500 miles of me & it'll probably be in another country, to boot.
And that's if I can get a ticket...

Is your flatmate going to stay in London, or is she coming back to Canada?

Good to hear from you again.
Take care.

Love
Dale

Hi babes! lovely to read your blog, it's so hard to keep up with everyone. I've had the same problem lately, but at least we all know that our blogger friends are out their waiting....
Don't work too hard and enjoy your time off.
ITA was great wasn't it

Hi Marietta, good fun in the chat room yesterday. Had an excellent feed, no freezing screen. We are on cable so it must make the difference. Hope everything is OK with you. Are you going to any WHO gigs? Mark

Hi Marietta,
welcome back to a more sane schedule and some down time. I think it's going to be a great Who summer. We're going to the Berlin show and I am jazzed.

Enjoy your free time, sweetie. You work way too hard!

Cheers,
AM

Hey Marietta!

Sorry I didn't get to chat with you yesterday. My computer closed the window out and it left me with a bunch of popups(which I never get) and then today I found out I had a Trojan Horse. I was able to get rid of it but I know that is where it came from at least that is what I was told. I hope no one else got it.
Enjoy your days off!!
take care!

Spring can't get here soon enough for me! I picked out the piece in your entry about trying to make it to NY (possibly) for a Who gig. You will not regret that decision, ket me know if you are going to di it. I am a go for the Convention, can't wait to meet all the bloggers, boarders and all around Who fans that will be there. I'm so excited!

Hi Marietta-
Looks like you've been quite busy- I think we all are around here.
I've missed chatting with you!
OOh I hope you can come to L.A. to see the Who. Keep dreaming- it's all good.
You are lucky to be in London though...but don't wait too long to buy tix - did you hear Pete say that one of the shows (I forget which one) sold out in 25 minutes?
I'll never forget the time they played in Boston in '76 I think - it was the last time Keith played there. Anyway - it sold out in like 15 minutes or something crazy like that. I cried when I couldn't get tickets! boo who who. :)
Stay well and happy,
Love,
Sue

Hey Marietta! I was just checking in on you. Things have been crazy around here, with the children in full soccer and ballet mode.
You will have to take me with you in spirit to see the concert. The venue looks lovely. Glad all is well.

My dear Marietta,
naturellement je vous pardonne. Sounds like you've been crazy busy with the shredding! I hope things calm down for you soon.

I am sore in all sorts of places from my overactive weekend, but it was great. You didn't miss much by missing the Oscars- it was pretty boring, which was surprising given the good movies up for awards. The show reminded me of a bad Saturday Night Live episode.

Take care, ma belle!

YIPPIE I am here and catching up and actually glad to see I am not the only one LOL. POST the pic of that room I would love to see. You know you can always email it to me but on the blog it is much more fun for some reason.

YES I will host the chat this week. Not too sure about next week or the week after. I am getting busy here and Charlotte is about to come!

You are coming to a concert in LA with me right? lol Beautiful venue as well as that is my FAVORITE tree! Stunning pics!

Hi Marietta, no blog since 1 March!! I know what it's like. It sometimes is difficult to think of anything to say. As long as you are alright, that's all that matters. Take care. Mark
